I cant believe i woke up so early today (bout' 5.40am?) to see the Thaipusam Festival. Forgot to bring my cam cos i was still so sleepy! Actually 4 years ago, i went before. It was much interesting then. Cos those ppl will appear in huge groups with lots of dancing and music going on. This year, it was rather sparsed and there wasnt much actions. We didnt see any ppl who have their 神上身 too. Last time, we saw lots! An obvious difference is, there are more other ethnic groups this year that participated in the festival. Result of globlization...
I really respect the ppl who carried those heavy Kavadi. With all those things piercing thru them and the weight of the Kavadi pulling on their skin... Eww.. 佩服，佩服! The power of religion! My mom said that in the past (when she was still a kid), even the on-lookers will kana 神上身 too. But as the years goes by there are lesser cases now. I think it's because, ppl nowadays no longer have a pure and innocent heart. They are filled with stress, burdens, materialistic, selfish n evil tots. They no longer faithfully and throughly believed in their religion. As a result, those 神 also dun wanna come down to the mortal world anymore. I think if i am 神 , i also dun want to come down lo. Cos' no matter how i preached you to be kind & blah blah, mankind will ultimately choose to do what they want.
Just spend a moment to think of the world. We are losing rainforests, animals, ppl starving to death, dun have a place to stay and blah blah.. If only all of us believe in letting go some of our own materalistic gains, the world will be much better. For example, why do we have to 暴饮暴食, eat those 三珍海味 when there are some kids are out there who have to worry bout' food every minute? If we just eat lesser (enuf for our survival and to grow healthily) and shared the rest, den everyone will be happy. If we stop emphazing on the grow of economy, competing against one another, there will definitely be less land developments and we will save lots of forest and animals. Why are we spending money on our face, nails, and bodies when there are ppl out there who dun even have somewhere warm to live? If we dun live in air-con rooms, we will also do something for the environment too.
Everyone just do their part, live to consider others, the world will be much much better.
Well, 说的容易, 做的难! I think humans are like that. Sigh~ I also dunno wat to say... Cos i am not able to live completely like a hermit too. Being a girl, i am totally nuts bout shopping. For the past 4 days, i have been shopping like crazy. Total bill ran up to bout' $500 le. See.. Spendthrift~
Since Fiona asked me to update bout my personal life, i shall tell you some memorable bits ba. mmm... well i'm starting work tml after my planned/ unplanned (haha~) holiday. Fate ba! *Cross Fingers* Hope things will work out! Should update more next time.
Den yea lo~ this year really 红壤心动... But i think 一切随缘吧~ 有缘的，走的再远，再久也会有机会碰面的一天 ｡◕‿◕｡I am still growing up, there are lots of things i havent see and do not understand yet. I think i need to do it alone. To understand who I really am, to find out what is this world about... I hope i am making sense. Haha~
Mmm.. den i got 'recruited' by Dawn Yeoh's agency too. But of cos' i am not so powerful like Dawn la~ She was groomed F.O.C, which is a really 1:1000,000 thing. Bryan Wong once said that,' No one will groom you for free unless you have the makings of a star.' It's not very exp but i did not go. Cos' somehow i feel like they are taking our $ to cover their more potential models' cost. LOL~ 人要有自知自明啦~ Maybe next time, when i want to shoot those make-over photos den I go for it. Haha! Bt at last i got poached by a reliable agency rather than those corny ones at Orchard Rd. Haha!
