Today it is the 1st time i went for an interview in an agency. It is another 'eventful' day. Since it is an agency and one tt is not so popular, i didnt put much hope in it.
It might just be a con-co.
~ So the story goes like tis ~
Me: Hi. I am here for the interview @ 2.30pm.
Lady: Are you from Singapore?
Me (thinking): Wat a weird qsn to ask? Dun tell me they helped foreigners only?
Me: Yes, i am.
Lady: Oh ok. Here is the application form. Remember to read this first before you proceed.
Me: Ok.
Went into a room, shared a table with a Malay Lady & start filling the form.
Form: A one-time charge of registration fee ($12) is applicable.
Me (thinking): Wat the... *Intend to leave* But then.. it might be fun to stay on and see what she will say. Maybe i can asked her to waive off too. Haha!
Form: Wa! Why got korean words de?
Me (thinking): Dont tell me she tot i am korean (cos of my name), tt's why ask me to come down? *Think too much le~*
So was filling in & blah blah.. Den suddenly the Malay Lady (M.L) talked to me.
Here is the summary:
1) She tot I was from China. (OMG~)
- She said i look like Chinadoll and not Singaporean cos the latter eyes are usually bigger and their skin are darker. (Ok fine.. typical comment). Then she goes on saying my hairstyle made me more like Chinadoll (Aiyo... bt nvm.. i l ♥ my current hair). And she goes on blabbering that I really dun look like Singaporean. More like China, Japan or Korea. Okok.. i have received all those comments before. Bt she needs to be so 'agitated' ma? I began to think whether i am sitting with a freak/luantic lo!
- Now come to think of it! No wonder all those Ah peks looked at me while i am walking along Chinatown. Wa lao~ They think i am those China Woman ah? If one really come and ask me bout the price hor, I will give him *karata-chop* lo~
2) She said I have a non-singaporean accent. (OMGx2)
- I tot my English has deteriorate cos i havent been actively speaking it for 1month. And i sound like those PRC's English now.. I was so damm worried. The good news is: She said i have a more british accent. Bad news is: She said Chinese ppl spoke with a more british accent... Wat the.. So i sound like 中国妹 la! Wa piang~
3) She asked whether alot of young guys chased me. (Geez~)
- Cos she said i look very young and very small-size. And when she was young, she was also like me. And a lot of younger guys chased her. Then she sound so convinced that i will marry someone younger than my age. (OMG! Am i sittin with a fortune teller?) But anyway, she think the same way as my Mom.. My mom always tot i will marry someone younger den me. Argg~
4) She educated me on what is bad guys and what is good guys.
- Now this is the freaky part. Some things she said are actually very true and applicable to me. I couldn't help but find myself nodding to what she said.
So well.. after this encounter, i know my day is going to be exciting! Haha~ Anyway i managed to ask tt lady to waive off the application fee till she got me a job! Wahahaha~ Another coincident thing is, tt lady live just a few blocks away from me. Geez! Oh yea, reason for those korean words? Cos this agency is a subsidiary of a korean recruitment agency. I was like woah~ The 1st agency i go to, is actually linked to korea! How nice! Haha!
Then i went to hunt for CNY-ornaments.
Guy: 小姐，你想找什么？
Me: 看看
Guy: 你看到什么就跟我讲咯。我帮你拿。
Me: Orh okie.
Guy: 小姐，你看起来很年轻。我搞不明白你为什么来买这个东西？
Me (thinking): Geez~ Another 年轻talk again?!
Me: Ha Ha... 买给我的阿公的。
Guy: 哦，你看起来好像跟我一样大。不然大一，两岁而已。看起来乖乖的。
Me (thinking): #$%^&* Wat 乖乖! Cant judge exactly how old is tt guy. Perhaps 18 the youngest. Like those Ah beng, ah beng type. WHY???? I always attract Ah Beng???!!!!
Me: Ha Ha... 我要这个和那个。
Guy: Aiya~ 免费啦。。
Me: Really? *But preparing to take out my $ le*
Another Guy: 哇。。免费个头啊！小姐，他讲免费就不要给他钱了。
Me: Ha Ha Ha~
Anyway he charged me 60cents lesser only... Bt then i realized what that Malay Lady said bout' young husband and then suddenly later the day, i was takan by this guy. OMG~ Dun tell me, my husband is still in JC!!! Wa ~~~
Ling, you dun need to worry bout' you looking older than Eric le. After all, you guys are only a few mths apart. Mine is few years apart lei!!!!! OMG!!!!
